„Weckt die Toten“ ist ein Album von In Extremo und ist ein Lied von In Extremo. Die Band sagt dazu: Weckt die Toten ist Abgesang und Hymne zugleich, ist bitterer Ernst und schelmisches Grinsen in einem und ist Vergangenheit und Zukunft im selben Moment. Weckt die Toten ist Freundschaft und Gemeinschaft, ist Rausch und Ekstase, ist Aufforderung und Schulterschluss. Doch vor allem und nicht zu letzt ist Weckt die Toten ab jetzt auch ein Festival von und mit In Extremo.“ Das Festival wird künftig jedes Jahr in Halle an der Saale auf der Peißnitzinsel stattfinden
Die 6 Spielmänner laden am 31.08.2024 nach Halle an der Saale auf die Peißnitzinsel zum Fest. Mit von der Partie sind Feuerschwanz, Knorkator und Rauhbein. Die Band spricht hier also offenkundig nicht von einem Versprechen für eine gute Zeit sondern vielmehr von einer Garantie. Es wird ausserdem einen Mittelaltermarkt geben.
